Community Training
South Gippsland community members, volunteers, community groups and non-profit organisations are encouraged to register for these exciting training opportunities. Most sessions are FREE, but places are limited.
Navigating Professional Boundaries
Tuesday 21 April from 9.30am to 12.30pmVolunteer managers often walk a fine line when it comes to relationships with their team. Is it OK to accept a volunteer’s Facebook friend request? Should you attend milestone birthday celebrations? And what happens if a volunteer crosses a boundary with another staff member?
This workshop is a practical, interactive session designed to explore the real-world challenges of managing professional relationships in the modern volunteering environment.
Coaching Volunteers through Organisational Change
Wednesday 22 April from 10.00am to 12.00pmChange is constant in the not-for-profit world as organisations adapt to different funding models, reporting and technology. While change is often highly supported for employees, Volunteer Managers are often left to lead change with their teams without the skills and tools necessary to create a targeted change management plan.
Meaningful and Able: Inclusive Recruitment Through Co-Design
Thursday 23 April from 12.00pm to 1.00pmPeople with disability still face barriers to accessing meaningful volunteer opportunities. To help address this, the Volunteer Resource Centre at Omnia Community Health has co‑designed two practical resources with volunteer‑involving organisations (VIOs), people with disability, and their supporters.
