New CEO appointed

Mr Tim Tamlin has been appointed as South Gippsland Shire Council’s next Chief Executive Officer.
Tim is currently Director of Engineering Services for the City of Greater Dandenong and has been in that role for approximately 4 1/2 years. He has also had management responsibility across a wide range of Council activities, and has performed as Acting CEO. |

Preparing for a fire safe summer
|
As information is being received from State Government following the Royal Commission, Council is integrating the latest guidelines into its Emergency Management Plans.
In the meantime, residents are urged to review their Fire Plans and and clean areas around their home of flammable material. Green waste is accepted free of charge at the Koonwarra Transfer Station. |

South Gippsland Rural Strategy and Amendment C48
|
In May 2009 the Minister for Planning brought new provisions into the South Gippsland Planning Scheme that relate to land within the Farming Zone, known as Amendment C48. Click here for more information on C48 and the South Gippsland Rural Strategy, including Council’s recent decision to call for submissions of hardship from landowners unduly impacted by C48. |
