Instruments of Delegation Council to Chief Executive Officer
The effective functioning of local government would not be possible if all decisions were made by Council, hence many decision-making powers are allocated by formal delegations to the Chief Executive Officer and to specific members of Council staff through the following instruments. Further powers of delegation are passed to the Chief Executive Officer to sub-delegate to additional functions to members of staff.
