Agricultural Climate Adaptation Project Southern Gippsland

The Agricultural Climate Adaptation Project Southern Gippsland aims to facilitate climate change adaptive strategies for food producers in the area and provides an opportunity for the alliance between a range of organisations in the Bass Coast and South Gippsland municipalities to further support local food producers in a meaningful way.

The Project was developed to continue the work achieved over the previous four years with local producers by South Gippsland and Bass Coast Shire Councils.

State Government policy identifies that climate adaptation for the agricultural sector is an important issue to address for the long term prosperity of our communities. This is definitely the case for our region, with agriculture being a major industry worth $500M annually.
