Community Capital Works Allocation
Council has considered community recommendations on how to allocate $400,000 each ($1.6M total) for capital works in Foster, Korumburra, Mirboo North and Venus Bay.
The following projects have been funded at each of the four towns:
- Foster: $400,000 to provide recycled water infrastructure for the Foster Showgrounds.
- Korumburra: $175,000 to upgrades at the Korumburra Recreation Centre, $175,000 to upgrades at the Korumburra Recreation Reserve and $50,000 for skate facilities.
- Mirboo North: $300,000 for Baromi Park masterplanning and upgrades and $100,000 for footpaths, particularly the north side of Couper Street and crossovers to assist with accessibility.
- Venus Bay: $125,000 for wildlife and environment projects including Van Cleef Reserve, $125,000 for skate facilities and $150,000 for the Venus Bay Surf Lifesaving Club.
