Draft Public Amenities Policy

Project

The purpose of the Draft Public Amenities Policy is to define a broad framework and guiding principles for the provision of services and sustainable management of Council owned and managed and Non Council owned and managed Public Toilets.

It will enable Council to address the findings of the Public Toilet review and implement a coordinated approach to the management of Public Toilet essential for current and future service delivery.

The policy provides the framework and guiding principles on Councils commitment to

  • Capital Renewal, Upgrade and Extension of Public Toilets; and
  • The provision of Public Toilets operational and maintenance services

Council is keen to receive feedback from community members, stakeholders and any other interested parties who would like to comment on the draft policy.

How to Participate

The draft policy will be available for public comment from Monday 3 July 2017 until Friday 11 August 2017. Submissions can be made in writing to Property, Private Bag 4, leongatha 3953 or via email to council@southgippsland.vic.gov.au.

Next Steps

At the conclusion of the consultation period, the draft policy will be revised and amended (if required) before being presented to Council for adoption.
