Volunteering with Council

Advisory Committees

Advisory Committees are established to improve communication between Council and local community groups, as well as to provide specialist advice and support in various areas of interest. Advisory Committees play important roles such as in public relations; program evaluation, providing a fresh perspective on an issue and they can advocate on behalf of special interest groups.

Council has established five Advisory Groups

  • Access and Inclusion Advisory Group
  • Active Retirees Advisory Group
  • Mossvale Advisory Group
  • Toora Railway Reserve Parkland Development Advisory Group
  • Youth Council
