Council's Green Waste Amnesty period has begun and will finish at the end of December.

From Saturday 4 November until Sunday 31 December residents can dispose of their green waste for free at any of Council’s transfer stations.

Council offers this service to encourage residents and holiday home owners to get ready for the fire season each year by removing overhanging limbs, dry leaves and cutting long grass.

Blackberry, Ragwort, Broom, Mirror Bush, Kikuyu Grass, Hawthorn, Cape Weed, Gorse, Pampas Grass, Palm fronds and Cordylines cannot be accepted.
