| A resident of Venus Bay for the past twenty six years, Cr Kennedy is now serving his third term on Council. He contributed to the creation of the Tarwin Lower-Venus Bay Walking Track, and lobbied for the proposed boardwalk at the Venus Bay Jetty, which has now been approved for construction.
A committee member of the Anderson Inlet Fisheries Reserve Management Plan, Kieran also serves on the MAV Indigenous Advisory Committee, the MAV Water Taskforce and the MAV Strategic Environment Advisory Committee. He received the Coast Care Gold Medal Local Hero award in 07/08.
Kieran is also keen to see rate revenue returning to the ward and achieving a positive outcome with the Rural Strategy.
He is committed to meeting with local groups and making communities feel connected, included and supported by Council.
Kieran also facilitates a ward meeting in Melbourne each July at Braeside Park to update absentee ratepayers on current issues.
