Population: 211 (ABS 2006)

Sandy Point is a township near Wilsons Promontory located approximately 185km from Melbourne. Although Sandy Point has permanent population of around two hundred, it grows to several thousands during the holiday period.

Sandy Point is surrounded by areas of significant natural heritage. Sandy Point is one of the few settlements in Victoria to remain relatively unaffected by the housing boom along the coast.

Sandy Point's surf beach is patrolled during the summer months and is considered a good spot for surfing.
