COVID-19 Updates for Businesses

As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve and develop, it is important that businesses continue to stay on top of the latest information and follow the advice of government authorities. Below are a number of resources available to you and your business to assist in navigating through the current challenges, whilst ensuring the health and wellbeing of your staff and customers. Many of these sites are being updated regularly as new information is available.

COVID-19 Road to Recovery

From 11.59pm 16 September, regional Victoria will move to the Third Step of the roadmap for reopening.

COVID- Safe Posters
We understand that reopening your business during this time is stressful. While you must meet mandatory requirements for your business type, you must also ensure the decisions you make suit your premises and business situation. The safety of you, your staff and your customers is paramount! 
To assist, our team have put together Business Support Packs that include a number of State Government COVID-safe posters . If you would like a pack for your business, please contact Melinda McLennan, Business Support Officer or for further advice regarding COVID-safe requirements, please contact Kristy Kearney, Acting Coordinator in Environmental Health.

Cancellation Policies
During this time, it is likely your customers and guests will be cancelling. You may be wondering what happens if they are cancelling due to COVID-19, and whether you can claim cancellation costs. More information on this is available on the VTIC website and from Consumer Affairs Victoria. This advice should be read in conjunction with Consumer Affairs Victoria’s online factsheet 'When customers cancel - guidance for tourism businesses.'  

FREE Industry Membership
The Victorian Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Victorian Tourism Industry Council (VTIC) are both offering 12 month FREE subscriptions, to their entry level membership. This includes receiving business communications, credit towards Victorian Chamber courses and access to the Victorian Chamber Workplace Relations Advice Line.
