Travel Exemptions - Fire Preparedness

Victorians who need to travel to carry out summer fire preparation activities can apply to Council for an exemption to current travel restrictions.

If the exemption is approved, property owners -  or their nominatedrepresentatives - may be able to travel to complete preparation activities subject to the conditions of their exemption. Exemption holders will be able to travel for a specified period of up to 72 hours to carry out preparation works. You must return to your primary place of residence within this timeframe. The 72 hours will start from 12.00 midnight on first day of the exemption.
