Native Vegetation Removal

In an effort to help reduce concerns around native vegetation removal, South Gippsland Shire Council has created some new resources.
One is a fact sheet that goes through some of the main questions we hear and the other is a simple flow chart that steps you through bushfire protection rules.
In short, vegetation removal is allowed in some circumstances and a planning permit can sometimes be required. If you remove vegetation without a permit when one is required, penalties apply as it is an offence.
