Entries for the 2026 Australia Day Photography Competition are now closed.

Terms and conditions:
Eligibility
Photos and films must be taken in the South Gippsland region or nearby.
Entrants must be Australian residents.
Employees of South Gippsland Shire Council are not eligible to enter.
Consent
All people appearing in the films or photographs must give their consent to be included.
Entries
Photos must be your own work (parents/carers may submit on behalf of their child).
No more than two photo entries per person.
Judging
Winners will be selected by South Gippsland Shire Council Councillors.
Use of Images
Submitted images will be included in a video collage of this year's entries that will be shown on Council's Facebook page and website.
Entrants can choose whether or not to give Council permission to use their submitted photos in Council communications (such as reports, adverts and strategies). All photos will be credited to the photographer. This choice will not influence the selection process in any way, as this information is not shared with the selection panel.
