Road Management Plan 2013
Why do we have a Road Management Plan?
The Road Management Plan is developed to establish requirements for the responsible management of public roads in South Gippsland Shire and provides information on how Council will manage its road infrastructure to affordable service levels and community needs.
Council has responsibility for over 2,080 kms of sealed and unsealed roads in South Gippsland. Those roads in South Gippsland that Council is not responsible for, which typically include arterial roads, private streets, multi-unit developments and tracks in state parks, are managed by other road authorities such as VicRoads, Department of Sustainability and Environment (DSE) and corporate bodies.
