Road Management Plan 2017
|Adopted at the Ordinary Council Meeting 28 June 2018.|
Council has the responsibility for 2,061 kms of sealed and unsealed roads in South Gippsland. Roads in South Gippsland that Council is not responsible for, which typically include arterial roads, private streets, multi-unit developments, and tracks in state parks, are managed by other road authorities such as VicRoads, Department of Environment, Land, Water, and Planning (DELWP) etc.
For more information on our roads, please visit our 'About our roads' webpage.
Why do we have a Road Management Plan?
To establish requirements for the responsible management of public roads in the South Gippsland Shire and provide information on how Council will manage its road infrastructure to affordable service levels and community needs.
