Maintain Your Septic System
There are some simple steps you can take to ensure your septic system operates effectively. Being aware of early signs of trouble can help you avoid major repairs.
There are four key elements to maintaining your septic system:
- Be careful of what goes into it
- Care for the infrastructure
- Get a qualified person to inspect it regularly
- Knowing the signs that your spetic system is not working effectively
In accordance with the Municipal Domestic Wastewater Management Plan, Council is also undertaking an Education and Compliance Program to improve septic system maintenance across the shire.
