Jaci grew up on a dairy farm outside of Loch in Gippsland. As a young girl she spent her time reading the cookbooks that her mum kept in the bottom kitchen drawer; always looking for a new recipe to try, a new food idea. Many weekends were spent making rainbow cakes with as many colours as possible.
When she was around 16, Jaci had ambitions to leave the farm and travel the world working as a television technician. She achieved this goal and end up working on sporting events in many different locations... but her love of cooking was always near.
Jaci then re-trained as a chef and decided to move back to South Gippsland to follow her dream to grow vegetables and cook. From here she established Jacican Food Studio in Mirboo North where she combines her love of all things food, Gippsland and media.
