Robert grew up on dairy farms near Korumburra. He then left the area before returning to settle in Mirboo North where he became involved with his local community (and the wider South Gippsland community) by volunteering with a community-run newspaper.

Robert is now a passionate advocate for the South Gippsland region and appreciates the natural beauty of the area and the country lifestyle. He considers South Gippland to be a place where real things can get done by real people working together. He is deeply interested in the history of the region and the importance of volunteerism.

Robert's story is touches on his own personal experiences in South Gippsland and the changes that he has witnessed over the years. It's hard not to be inspired by his natural enthusiasm.
