Four-Year-Old Kindergarten is becoming Pre-Prep from 2027 in South Gippsland Shire Council. Pre-Prep is a Victorian Government initiative that increases the number of funded hours children can spend in a play-based early learning environment.

There is no difference between the program offered for four-year-old kindergarten and Pre-Prep. In 2027, our Kindergarten services will be offering between 16 and 20 hours for Pre-Prep. The number of hours varies between kindergartens depending on the availability of qualified staff and how much space each kindergarten has.
