Aiden Marshall - Korumburra

Aiden Marshall is a quiet achiever, always willing to help and with a smile. He displays outstanding behaviour and excellent manners. Aiden is very reliable and is committed to whatever he undertakes. He is a great team leader and makes a wonderful role model.

Aiden has been part of the Performing Arts Program at Korumburra Secondary College since 2019. He has been a member of the Classroom and the South Gippsland Schools Music Program taking part in many college performance events such as playing for assemblies, music concerts, VCE music and at presentation and orientation evenings.

Aiden is a strong performer and shown that he is flexible and can retain commitments. In 2021, Aiden has volunteered to assist Year 12 music students with their VCE examinations. He has rehearsed and will perform in their exam as a non-assessed performer. This is a great experience to be part of for a younger student.

Aiden is also committed to scouts since starting as a Club Scout in 2013 and is now into Scouts at 2nd Korumburra Scout Group as an Adventurer with the Coal Creek unit. Aiden has grown up with his mother as a Cub Scout Leader which has instilled in him the virtues of community spirit, helping others and pitching in and helping when required without having to be asked or seeking recognition for the work he has performed.

Aiden has grown in confidence through his scouting journey — interacting with younger youths teaching them how to tie knots and complete tasks, in peer organising events as well as with older adults attending Group Councils.

During his scouting adventure, Aiden obtained his Grey Wolf which is the highest award a Club Scout can achieve which is not frequently bestowed upon youths due to the work that is required to achieve such a high award. He also attended the 25th Australian Jamboree in January 2019 in South Australia where despite harsh conditions he took advantage of the opportunity and enjoyed the event.

Aiden also has a strong commitment to the Korumburra Badminton Association as an outstanding junior player and is happy to help others out with scoring games or filling in when needed. He has great manners on and off the court and the club have said it is always a pleasure to have Aiden's attendance weekly.

Aiden has the attributes everyone wishes young people of today will hold to help move our community forward and those who know him have full confidence he will continue to lead his peers for the future.
