Running For Council?

Thinking about running for Council?

Are you passionate about your community and ready to make a difference? Running for Council could be your opportunity to contribute to the decisions that shape South Gippsland. 

Running for Council allows you to: 

  • Advocate for issues you care about
  • Represent your community's interests 
  • Influence policies and decisions
  • Contribute to positive change

In the lead up to the 2024 elections, information sessions will be taking place to equip you with the tools you need to run for Council. Be sure to check out the list below and save the dates in your calendar. 

The Victorian Electoral Commission are hosing two in-person candidate information sessions.

Here are the details: 

  • Leongatha: Wednesday 4 September from 5.30 at Memorial Hall.
  • Korumburra: Thursday 5 September from 5.30 at Korumburra Community Hub.

You don’t need to register to come to these session, just show up at you preferred location.
