Temporary Suspension of Road Management Plan
Temporary Suspension of Road Management Plan
With the adoption of the new Road Management Plan (RMP) - Council must notify the public of when the RMP is suspended.
Please see suspensions below:

Clarkes Road, Hallston
Clarkes Road in Hallston was badly affected by the August 2022 storm event (AGRN 1029), which caused a number of landslips.
Because of this, Council has suspended its Road Management Plan (RMP) for Clarkes Road until repairs are finished, in accordance with Section 1.5 of the adopted RMP (2025) and Section 83 of the Wrongs Act 1958. This means the normal inspection and maintenance schedule under the RMP don't apply during this period.
The suspension will be reviewed on or before 16 December 2025, depending on when the works are completed. While the suspension is in place:
- The usual RMP inspection and maintenance timeframes do not apply.
- Essential inspections and works will still be undertaken where required to manage safey risks.
- Urgent hazards can continue to be reported via Council's Customer Service team or the Snap Send Solve app for assessment and response.
Repairs are being funded by Emergency Recovery Victoria and are expected to be completed within the next three months. Once complete, the RMP service levels will be reinstated.
We thank the community for their patience as we finish this important work.
