Bulk Commercial and Industrial Waste

Bulk commercial and industrial waste consists of non-recyclable and non-hazardous materials, including general commercial rubbish, composite or soft plastics, soiled packaging, ceramics, fibreglass, broken manufacturing materials, building and demolition debris, single-use hygiene items, etc.

*Please note - no soil or fill material accepted.

Commercial and Industrial Waste - $400 per tonne.

Asbestos

If you are transporting asbestos as a homeowner, then it can be taken to the Koonwarra Landfill as it is classified as ‘domestic asbestos’.

If you have organised for a licensed asbestos removalist to transport the material or if it comes from a non-residential property, the Environment Protection Authority (EPA) classifies the waste as ‘commercial asbestos’ and it cannot be accepted at the Koonwarra Landfill. This material should be taken to a landfill that accepts commercial asbestos.

For information or for assistance on identifying asbestos on your property, visit www.asbestos.vic.gov.au.

Domestic sources only, no commercial asbestos as described above - $228 per tonne ($114 minimum charge for up to 500kg).
