Types of Emergencies

Council work closely with the community and other agencies including CFA, Victoria Police, Victoria SES and Department of Families, Fairness and Housing to develop our Municipal Emergency Management Plan, which has been established to prepare for various emergencies.

Emergencies may not be something we consider every day but they can strike at any time, causing disruption to our lives. Emergencies can cause damage to your homes and valuable, affect your health or cause financial burden.

There are many different types of emergencies including:

  • Bushfire
  • Flooding
  • Storm and storm damage
  • Earthquakes
  • Road accidents
  • Oil Spills
