South Coast Community Leadership Program

The South Coast Community Leadership Program is a free six-session course with workshops and individual reflection tasks. This Program is designed to help community members build their leadership skills, explore new ways of leading, and connecting with other like-minded local people.

The Program is a partnership between Bass Coast Shire Council and South Gippsland Shire Council. This comprehensive Program focuses on growing leadership opportunities throughout both shires. 

The Program for 2026 is actively seeking applications now!

Key dates:

• Applications open – Saturday 20 December.
• Applications close – Friday 13 February.

• Welcome & Building Effective Teams – Saturday 14 March – Bena.
• Reflective Community Leadership– Sunday 29 March – Koonwarra.
• Navigating Local Government – Saturday 18 April – Leongatha.
• Self-Awareness in Leadership – Sunday 3 May – Wattlebank.
• Public Speaking & Storytelling for Impact– Saturday 16 May – Kilcunda.
• In Good Company (Networking) – Saturday 30 May – Inverloch .
