Planning Zones

The Planning Scheme zones land for particular uses (e.g. residential zones or business). Every zone has its own set of provisions and guidelines detailing which developments and activities (use) require a planning permit and which activities may be prohibited.

The main purpose of zoning land is to ensure that compatible uses are located near each other whilst incompatible uses are separated.
