Community Days

South Gippsland Shire Council is planning Community Day activities to be held out in the community. These days provide opportunities for Councillors to interact purposefully with local interest groups, businesses, industry sector representatives, community leaders, community members and subject experts on matters of strategic interest to the Shire. The insights they gain from communicating with and hearing the views of the community will inform their decision making.

Community Days are generally held on the fourth Wednesday of the month. Community members and interest groups seeking to present to, or meet with Council on a future Community Day must submit a Community Day - Expression of Interest (EOI) by 9.00am on the third Friday of each month.

Some Community Day activities, where practicable and relevant to a wider audience, will be arranged to allow members of the public and/or the media to attend.

EOIs will be assessed by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in consultation with the Mayor, before invitations are offered to attend an appropriate avenue of engagement.

When and where do Community Days take place?
