Korumburra Projects
1. Korumburra Showgrounds Changerooms
Construction of new netball changerooms and updated football changerooms at the Korumburra Showgrounds.
2. Korumburra Skatepark
A new skatepark to be constructed in the redeveloped Korumburra Railway Precinct.
3. Korumburra Railway Station Building Refurbishment
Managed by VicTrack, this project has included the refurbishment of this long-standing building.
4. Pedestrian Underpass Refurbishment
Renewal pathway and drainage improvements within the pedestrian underpass. Detailed designs underway.
5. Korumburra IGA Supermarket
Michael's IGA are in the process of establishing a new full-time supermarket on the site of the old Korumburra Library.
6. Little Commercial Street Reconstruction
Completed in 2023, the project involved improved parking, footpath and path connections.
7. Pedestrian Laneway 27 Commercial Street
A parcel of land has been purchased to link pedestrians between Commercial and Little Commercial Streets.
8. Laneway Mural
A new mural has been painted to provide a colourful connection between the Great Southern Rail Trail and the Korumburra CBD.
9. Korumburra Streetscape
A revitalised streetscape in Korumburra has commenced that will improve pedestrian and driver movement, and enhance visual appeal.
10. Korumburra Railway Precinct
Redevelopment Project
Redevelopment of the Korumburra Railway land to provide additional public open space.
11. Korumburra Community Hub
Completed in 2023 and is home to Myli Community Library, Milpara Community House and Korumburra and District Historical Society.
12. Korumburra Recreation Reserve Upgrades
A multipurpose synthetic training facility to be completed by June 2027.
13. Korumburra Tennis Pavilion Project
The new sports pavilion at Korumburra Tennis Club is being developed by South Gippsland Shire Council and Korumburra Tennis Club in partnership with the Victorian Government.
