| | Draft 2013-2017 Council Plan, Draft 2013-2014 Annual Plan and Proposed 2013-14 Budget

At its Ordinary Council Meeting held on 24 April 2013, council resolved to make the Draft 2013-2017 Council Plan, Draft 2013-2014 Annual Plan and Proposed 2013-14 Budget (including Mayoral and Councillor allowances) available for public consultation in line with Section 223 of the Local Government Act.
Community members are invited to make a submission no later than close of business Wednesday 29 May 2013.

| | Fire Services Property Levy

From July 1, the Fire Services Levy will be removed from insurance premiums and be replaced by a property-based levy collected by councils through rates notices. Non-rateable properties will receive a separate notice. There will be a fixed charge of $100 for residential properties, and a $200 charge for non-residential properties; as well as a variable cost based on the property’s capital improved value.
