Coal Seam Gas
Shire Logo Colour Council has put forward its concerns to the industry and related governing bodies in relation to Coal Seam Gas. It is important to Council that concerned residents and landowners are provided with satisfactory detail to understand the work Council has been undertaking in relation to Coal Seam Gas.
 
Funding Announced for Korumburra Integrated Children's Centre
KICC Funding Council and the Karmai Community Children’s Centre Board of Management were thrilled to accept a $1.6m State Government contribution from Deputy Premier, Peter Ryan towards the construction of the Korumburra Integrated Children’s Centre.
The Centre is planned to provide 120 new places for child care, kindergarten, out of school hours care, maternal & childhood services and specialist children’s services.
 
$1 million funding to resolve the Black Spur link!
Rail-Trail-family-cycling Deputy Premier Peter Ryan announced $1 million on Thursday to repair the three Black Spur bridges on the Great Southern Rail Trail. This will result in a seamless 69 km trail from Leongatha to Welshpool when completed, creating a highly marketable tourism asset for the region.
