The Victorian Government is standardising household waste and recycling across the state under the new Circular Economy (Waste Reduction and Recycling) Act 2021.
So, from 1 July 2026, Council is introducing a FOGO kerbside collection service.
Here is a summary of what is changing from 1 July:
- Food scraps will go in your green lidded FOGO bin with your garden clippings to become high-quality compost.
- FOGO bin will be collected weekly.
- General waste bin (red lid) will be collected fortnightly.
