Kerbside Green Waste Collection

Where does it go?

Kerbside green waste is transported to Pinegro in Morwell. Here it is composted and turned into landscape and garden products. 

It is very important you do not contaminate your green waste bin with non-composable materials. Contamination can lead to large quantities of compose having to be landfilled or worse lead to contaminating peoples gardens and farms.

What items can go in my bin?

  • Garden prunings
  • Grass clippings
  • Weeds
  • Noxious weeds
  • Small logs and raw timber off-cuts (up to 10cm in width and 30cm length)
  • Leaves

What items can't go in my bin?

  • No household garbage or food scraps
  • No bricks, rubble, sand or dirt
  • No plastic bags
  • No plant pots
  • No large logs or stumps
  • No treated or painted timber
