Draft Amendment C135 - South Gippsland Flood Studies

The draft amendment proposes to implement ten flood studies undertaken for catchments within the South Gippsland Shire by applying the Floodway Overlay (FO) and Land Subject to Inundation Overlay (LSIO) (see mapping), and by making other consequential changes to the South Gippsland Planning Scheme.

The draft amendment proposes to:

• Update the Land Subject to Inundation Overlay (LSIO) for areas subject to inundation.
• Apply a new LSIO Schedule 2 (LSIO2) to areas where road access is affected due to inundation.
• Apply the Floodway Overlay (FO) to higher risk inundation areas.
• Make other consequential changes to the planning scheme.
